WOW. we had the most amazing time. its so peacful and welcoming its great. the people around el cotillo are friendly and very helpful. The apartment was in a great location few seconds walk from village but tucked away from noise.my boyfrind wanted drinks but nothing like clubby style and i wanted the sun it was perfect. the roof terrace was a god send. no one else was ever up there so had privacy (if you know what i mea. no white bits tehe) it reall was the best holiday iv had in years.

El Cotillo is still as yet slightly unspoiled - but this may not last too long so hurry up. You must go the Lagoon Beaches and Cafe Torino is a great place for garlic prawns and fresh sea-fish as well as kid friendly snakcs and ices. Just off the lagoon beach is Azzurro - good Italian and Canarian food and if the weather is right a good evening dining experience too. In the town the best we found was Casa Rustica - which I cannot recommend highly enough. The fish specials ("with garlic?") must be had and portions are generous and good value; if not too busy they can customise dishes for children. The kalamari is also fresh and cooked to perfection. Go for the house wine and you won't go too far wrong either (red or white). The pizzeria in Lajares is good value and friendly (and does pizza with nutella for dessert!) and in the same village is a really good French Bakery; a little further afield you have El Horno in Villaverde which for meat lovers will be hard to beat on the island - pork and beef are exceptional and grilled on an open fire to order.

We stayed here in April 2010 and loved every second of it! The rooftop deck was absolutely great and the lagoons north of el Cotillo were always very quiet and had the bluest water! The restaurants in El Cotillo were authentic and relaxed and everyone was very welcoming. We could easily reach other parts of the island and were sure glad we picked the Haven to stay at! We have now moved to Dubai but always recommend a stay here to anyone traveling to Fuerteventura.

Spent a week at The HAVEN in November 2010. The appartment was ideal and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore was therapeutic to say the least. The beaches and lagoons were idyllic but most of all the restaurants were all excellent. We had lunch on the day we arrived at Resturant La Playa and it set the standard for the rest of the week. Casa Rustica was worth a second visit. All in all wonderfull.

Decided to spend our first Christmas in the sun and so glad we did. The Haven was fabulous. Very well equipped, nothing was too much trouble. The lagoons were perfect secluded and peaceful just make sure you find one of the stone shelters they are ideal :-) I would highly recommend The Haven at El Cotillo who are looking for peace and quiet = blissful.
